The Scripps National Spelling Bee

The Scripps National Spelling Bee offers students a chance to compete at the local, regional, and national level for fabulous prizes and recognition, and promotes good study habits too!
The purpose of The Bee is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English useage that will help them all of their lives.

Sign ups for your local bee must be done though the official Scripps National Spelling Bee website where you’ll also find study resources, updated Bee information, rules for competition, and more.

Deadline to sign up is Friday, November 21, 2008.

Scripps requires a $99 materials and enrollment fee per school.
